Come celebrate another fantastic summer with the Restoration Project Tribe! Join us for an evening of family fun at the lake at The Beach at Raindance in Windsor, Colorado. We’ll swim, eat award-winning BBQ, kayak, paddleboard, play beach volleyball, race cardboard boats, win prizes, and celebrate another summer of intentional fathering at Restoration Project, all while raising funds to support the exciting work ahead.

It’s the weekend before school starts in Northern Colorado. What better way to give summer one last big SPLASH?!

Bring your family splash and play the night away with provided paddleboards, kayaks, volleyball, fishing, and swimming. Kids of all ages are welcome. This fun outdoor venue will have something for everyone.
Race Dudedad in your own cardboard boat!

That’s right! You and your kids build a boat out of cardboard (tips and race rules provided) and race YouTuber DudeDad (aka Taylor Calmus) on the lake! Win prizes and have the time of your life. Optional. Scroll down for more info!

race dude dad in a Cardboard Boat Derby?

Oh yes!

Last year, we hosted a never-before-seen experience for Colorado families: a Cardboard Boat Derby. We’re running it back this year as part of the End of Summer Splash! We are looking for 20 brave and creative dads to build a cardboard boat with their kids, then show up on August 11th to race it. Yes, you and your kids literally get in the boat and race it. How fun is that?

You and your child build your own boat out of cardboard. Be as creative and ingenious as you want. Just show up on 8/11 with your boat in hand, ready to race.
Not only does the derby provide a hilarious and fun event during out time on August 11th. It also provides the following wins:
WIN #1: Your kids get both your attention and your intention. They get time with dad as you build your sea-worthy vessel.
WIN #2: You get the gift of a lifetime - forever memories with your children.
WIN #3: Similar to a walk-a-thon or marathon, each father-child pair has the opportunity to find “sponsors” to contribute financially to Restoration Project on behalf of their boat. Imagine, for example, Grandma pledging $5/minute the boat stays afloat, or Uncle Bob offering $25 to have his name painted on the hull? Or maybe a company sponsors the board the gets their logo on the side. It’s as easy as that. The money raised then goes to expand Restoration Project’s impact on families across the country.
WIN #4: It’s FUN for everyone, and will be a fun part of our celebration on August 11th.
